Chicken Breast in Garlic Sauce

– 6-8 portions boneless chicken breast
– 4 tablespoons butter
– 1 clove garlic, crushed
– 1 medium onion, sliced
– 2 slices bacon, chopped
– 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
– 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
– salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup heavy cream
– garnish with toasted almonds


Melt the butter in a casserole dish (stovetop safe). Stir int he garlic, onion, bacon, mushroom, basil, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Arrange the chicken on top of the vegetables; cover and bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Pour the cream over the chicken; sprinkle with almonds.

Serve 4.
